Pump Decay After 12 Years Of Operation

The Royers lock-system in the Belgium city of Antwerp has been in operation ever since 1907! Team Rental Pumps Belgium recently decommissioned her longest running project to date here. The 3+1 pump installation was used for stormwater and only in operation at high tide and heavy rainfall. A total output of 2m³/sec at 7 meter discharge height was needed to prevent Antwerp from flooding. Telemetry with online monitoring was installed to guarantee safe operations of the installation. The pictures displayed here is what 12 years of being out in the elements can do to pumping equipment. Obviously the pumps are in need of some TLC, but we are up for the task. The pumps will undergo a complete overhaul and all metal parts will be renewed preparing them for future projects.
