not a standard solution
Because of the low incline the pump would most likely pump a lot of sand.
Therefor Rental Pumps opted for a long floating suction line.
Another upside is that the suction line doesn't need to be re-located very often
With the utilisation of an external fuel tank the pump can run for long autonomious periods of time
The water level has dropped significantly without re-locating the suction line
